The original version—a simple spreadsheet—was created as a way for her clients to keep track of applications and impending deadlines. When many of her clients began using smart phones, Joanne realized that a dynamic mobile version would be more effective, accessible and fun. Joanne wrote a weekly, nationally syndicated column (Universal Press Syndicate) called “College Bound” which has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, the Capitol Times (Madison, WI), the Portland Oregonian and others. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University, and her teaching credential from St. Mary’s College of California. Joanne completed her certificate in College and Career Advising at the University of California, Berkeley. Joanne is a member of the Advisory Board for the College Admissions and Career Planning Certificate Program at UC Berkeley Extension, and the National College Counselor Advisory Board for the Princeton Review. A former teacher, Joanne is also a short-fiction writer.
